How flights are determined for the 9-hole league.
There are Three Separate competitions being held each Monday and Tuesday night.
The Gross\Net tournament
Gross skins
Net skins
For G/N Tournament a third of the field will receive a portion of the prize fund pot each night.
The flights for each are generated by Golf Genius and are created independently of the other competitions. If we tried to keep everyone in the same flight as they are in the G\N tournament it would involve manually creating the skin flights that would more than double the time that spent creating the tournaments, flights, and producing the results. Prior to the completion of a Monday or Tuesday night league, we do not know the number of players in each of the competitions or which flight everyone would be in.
There could be the same number of flights in each competition, but the members in each flight will be slightly different due to the number of players electing to be in each of the skins. For example: there are 48 players in the G\N tournament, 30 players in Gross skins and 38 players in Net skins. There would be 2 flights for each competition, 24 players in each flight in the G\N tournament, 15 players in each flight for Gross skins and 19 players in each flight for Net skins. If a player with one of the higher handicaps in the 1st flight of the G\N tournament signs up for gross skins, he will likely be in the 2nd flight for gross skins due to fewer high handicap players entering Gross skins. If a player with the lowest handicap in 2nd flight of the G\N tournament could possibly be in 1st flight of Net skins and 2nd flight in gross skins.
